Bob Zochowski (April 1, 1951 - April 10, 2022)

With much sadness, I have to announce the passing of my best friend, Bob Zochowski. Known as "Big Bob" among his closest friends, was born on April 1st 1951 in Chicago. He was one of 5 boys and the second oldest. Bob was proudly Polish. Bob left Chicago in 1976 and moved to southern California. He lived on the coast for a few months and then moved inland to Ash St.in Escondido, where we met and became neighbors in 1977.

Fast forward to 2003 and Bob was retired and needed something to do so he started painting Husky gas tanks for me. Bob painted all of the tanks for about 15 years. He had a hart attack in Sept. of 2020 and he never made it back to the shop. Bob loved a road trip. We went on many over the 45 years of friendship we had. Many of my customers that visited the shop on Cox Rd. met and knew Bob. He will be missed. RIP my friend. We Loved you!!!
